Training is at the heart of AAIV. Whether you are unfamiliar with the teachings of Christianity and want to learn more, are wondering what it means to become a committed follower of Jesus Christ, or follow Jesus Christ and hope to learn to become a leader for his kingdom and purposes, we hope “double A” will be a place to help you on your spiritual journey.

Our major annual training events are our Cross Training conference in October at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells, WI with all InterVarsity chapters from throughout Wisconsin, our own chapter’s Spring Retreat early in the spring semester, and Chapter Focus Week in Upper Michigan the week after finals in May.

We also offer “Roots Ministry,” a discipleship group for freshmen and students new to AAIV and several other discipleship groups focused on Christian doctrine, learning about the Bible, or how to share the Christian faith. We also offer Evangelism Training and leadership training.

Many of our students regularly read, discuss, and pray through a book called One.Life: Jesus Calls, We Follow by Scot McKnight together. Being part of such a group is a pre-requisite (but not a guarantee) for serving on AAIV leadership.

If you’re interested in Roots, Simply Christian, Doctrine, Knowing Scripture, Cross Training, Evangelism Training or any of our other discipleship programs please feel free to talk with any student leader or Nicole, our staff worker.
